I joined the internet banking team to ship features and fix defects — and quickly noticed that many of those defects came from the same few under-owned corners of the codebase. Alongside regular delivery I started standardising component structure, extracting reusable utilities and unifying naming across the 100K+ line app. Defects dropped by 56%.

I also took on the parts of the product customers feel: loading states, redesigned screens and accessibility. See the case study for details.

OAK’S LAB is a product studio building software for startups and enterprises. I spent most of my time on Nasdaq Private Market, owning features such as portfolio holdings and the pre-platform onboarding flow, and cutting the load time of its financial dashboard by two thirds.

I also built the NXT hiring platform MVP end-to-end — architecture, backend, database, frontend and deployment to Google Cloud — and mentored three junior developers through code reviews and pairing.

At Datamole I owned the web application for the High Throughput Screening Reactor — a laboratory device scientists use to run many experiments in parallel. The UI had to configure, schedule and monitor experiments while streaming more than a thousand data points every second into interactive charts. See the case study.

My first lead role: a small team building the self-service portal business clients used to manage their communication services, invoices and support tickets. I introduced consistent React patterns and an automated Cypress test suite, which noticeably reduced production bugs.
